Job summary

Monarch Education is assisting a friendly mainstream primary school in Kingswood, Bristol to recruit a caring Teaching Assistant to join their team this September. This full-time, 1:1 KS2 SEND support role offers daily involvement with a pupil awaiting an EHCP, working with the teacher, SENCo and family to shape support from the start.

Qualifications

• PATIENT, empathetic and encouraging demeanor.
• Interest in supporting children with additional needs.

Responsibilities

• Providing consistent 1:1 support within the classroom
• Helping the pupil access learning in a way that works for them
• Working closely with the class teacher, SENCo, and family
• Encouraging positive routines, independence and confidence
• Being a calm, reassuring presence throughout the school day
