Job summary

SUPPLY PERSONNEL is seeking a caring KS2 Teaching Assistant for a full-time temporary role in the LE7 area. You will support pupils in Years 3–6, assist with SEN needs and help them access the curriculum in a mainstream primary school.

You will work under the class teacher to provide one-to-one and group support, encouraging independence and positive learning behaviours while adhering to safeguarding requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with SEN in educational or childcare settings.
• Confident and patient when supporting various learning, social, and behavioural needs.
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and small-group support to pupils with additional needs.
• Support children with SEN including learning, communication, social, emotional and behavioural needs.
• Help pupils understand activities and complete learning tasks.
• Adapt approach to meet individual children’s needs and abilities.
• Encourage independence, confidence and positive learning behaviours.
• Support pupils with emotional regulation and behaviour management.
• Collaborate with the class teacher and other support staff.
• Promote an inclusive, safe and positive learning environment for every child.
