Job summary

Vision for Education is seeking a caring Teaching Assistant to join our supply team in the TS17 area, supporting the class teacher to deliver engaging learning opportunities and helping pupils to achieve their full potential both academically and socially. The role runs Monday to Friday during school hours from November 2026 to April 2027.

A Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification and experience in Key Stage 2, particularly Year 3, are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Hold a minimum Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification.
• Experience working in a primary school setting.
• Be confident supporting teaching and learning across the curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Support the class teacher with delivering engaging lessons.
• Work with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning.
• Help create a positive, inclusive learning environment.
• Support pupils with varying learning needs and encourage independence.
• Assist with classroom organisation and resource preparation.
• Promote positive behaviour and support the school policy.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
• Contribute to the wider life of the school community.
