Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
• Knowledge of SEN needs and intervention strategies.
• Strong communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, families and colleagues.
• Commitment to inclusive education and safeguarding best practice.
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality teaching and learning tailored to individual pupil needs.
• Plan, prepare and adapt lessons in line with EHCP outcomes and curriculum expectations.
• Promote pupil engagement, independence and confidence in learning.
• Monitor, assess and report on pupil progress.
• Collaborate with support staff, senior leaders and multidisciplinary teams.
• Implement effective behaviour management strategies and support plans.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to pupil reviews and assessments.
