Job summary

Desian Education is partnering with a welcoming primary school in St Helens to recruit a dedicated Teaching Assistant for 1:1 support with a Key Stage 2 pupil who has additional needs. You will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement learning plans and tailor support accordingly.

This role focuses on promoting engagement, independence and social development, both inside and outside the classroom, while building strong relationships with the pupil, staff and parents.

Qualifications

• Teaching Assistant experience preferred.
• Ability to work effectively with children with additional needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide tailored support to a pupil in Key Stage 2 with additional needs
• Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement support strategies and learning plans
• Help promote engagement, independence, confidence and social development
• Assist the pupil both inside and outside the classroom is required
• Build positive relationships with the pupil, staff and parents/carers
• Support the delivery of a safe, inclusive and nurturing learning environment
