Job summary

TeacherActive is working with a mainstream Primary School in Southport seeking a dedicated Primary Teacher to join on a long-term basis from November 2026. You will teach across KS2 with some overlap into KS1, differentiating lessons for pupils with EHCPs and ICPs while supporting children with PMLD.

To succeed you should hold QTS, have UK primary experience and strong classroom management, with a patient, adaptable approach to learning and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status / QTS.
• Experience teaching within a UK Primary School, across KS1 and KS2.
• Experience supporting children with SEND, particularly PMLD.
• Knowledge and understanding of EHCPs and ICPs, with ability to adapt teaching to individual needs.
• Excellent classroom management and strong communication skills.
• Patient, adaptable and nurturing approach to teaching and learning.

Responsibilities

• Teach across KS2 with some KS1 overlap, adapting lessons to meet individual learning needs, including EHCPs/ICPs.
• Differentiate learning to support children with PMLD.
• Maintain excellent classroom management and clear communication with staff and parents.
• Contribute to an inclusive learning environment within the school.
