Job summary

Vision for Education is seeking a caring and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our supply team in Great Ayton. The role supports the class teacher to deliver engaging learning opportunities and help pupils achieve their potential, both academically and socially.

The position is full-time, Monday to Friday during school hours, commencing November 2026 and running through to April 2027. Salary is dependent on experience and qualifications.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification.
• Experience working in a primary school setting.
• Confident supporting teaching and learning across the curriculum.
• Excellent communication and behaviour management skills.
• Able to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents.

Responsibilities

• Support the class teacher with engaging lessons aligned to the National Curriculum.
• Work with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning.
• Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment.
• Support pupils with varying learning needs and promote independence.
• Assist with classroom organisation, resources, and displays.
