Vision for Education is seeking a dedicated General Teaching Assistant to work full time in an Early Years / KS1 mixed class in the TS12 area, starting December 2026. You will support the class teacher with everyday activities, helping children build confidence and essential early literacy and numeracy skills.

You will contribute to a nurturing, inclusive learning environment, assisting with phonics, reading, writing and maths while fostering communication and social development in young

Qualifications

• Experience as a TA in primary/early years settings is desirable.
• Experience supporting children in Nursery/Reception/Year 1 or mixed EY/KS1 is advantageous.
• A TA or EY qualification is desirable but not essential.

Responsabilités

• Support the class teacher delivering engaging activities across EY/KS1 curriculum.
• Provide general classroom support to enable learning and progress.
• Support individual children and small groups with literacy, numeracy, phonics, and other activities.
• Help develop early reading, writing, speaking and maths skills.
• Assist with classroom preparation, displays and learning resources.
• Support children during routines, transitions, and playtimes.
• Adapt resources to meet individual learning needs.
• Collaborate with the school team to monitor progress.
