Job summary

Carterknowle Junior School in Sheffield is seeking an enthusiastic Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join the KS2 team. This part-time role supports learning routines across two days per week, aiding children to access the curriculum and safeguarding their wellbeing.

You will help pupils during lessons, support practical activities, and promote engagement and independent learning while upholding health and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Level 2 or above qualification in childcare or supporting teaching and learning.
• GCSE English and maths (Grade 5/C or above) required.
• Experience supporting primary school pupils, ideally KS2.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils inside the classroom during lessons and keep them focused.
• Assist children outside the classroom during practical lessons and playground duties.
• Encourage learning progress and independent study by keeping learners engaged.
• Maintain health and safeguarding standards at all times.
