Job summary

Qualifications

• Supports learning in various settings (individual, small group, whole-class).
• Builds positive relationships with children, staff and parents.

• Demonstrates patience, empathy, and understanding of diverse learning needs.
• Follows teacher planning and adapts activities as required.
• Keeps classroom organised and manages time effectively.

• Supports pupils with SEND, EAL, or additional learning needs.
• Uses ICT to support learning and administrative tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers with classroom activities and lesson delivery.
• Support pupils with literacy, numeracy and social development.
• Work with pupils one-to-one and in small groups.
• Encourage positive behaviour and engagement in learning.
• Observe and record pupil progress.
• Prepare classroom resources and maintain a safe learning environment.
• Support educational visits, enrichment activities, and break-time supervision.
• Collaborate with teaching staff and external professionals to meet pupil needs.
