St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School in Fishponds, Bristol, invites applications for a Learning Support Assistant to join our dedicated team on a permanent contract (term time plus inset days). The role runs 8:45am–3:30pm, Monday to Friday, with a 30-minute lunch break, and offers a salary range of £19,829–£24,188.

The ideal candidate will have experience with primary-aged children, knowledge of the national curriculum, ability to support learning across key stages, and a caring, collaborative

Qualifikationen

• Have experience working with primary age children in both key stages.
• Good knowledge of the National Curriculum and assessment processes.
• Promote independent learning inside and outside the classroom.
• Experience supporting social and emotional development (Thrive trained).
• Understanding of phonics and willingness to be trained in Read Write Inc (RWI).
• Support individuals and groups under the direction of the class teacher.
• Observe pupil performance and provide feedback on progress and learning.
• Maintain records of pupil progress and learning when asked by the class teacher.
• Contribute to planning and evaluation of learning activities.
• Create an engaging, orderly environment for learning inside and outside.
• Excellent communication and understanding of speech and language development.
• High expectations for pupil learning, development and behaviour.
• Be able to work effectively as a team and develop good school-wide relationships.
• Be kind, caring and enthusiastic.
