Job summary

St John the Baptist Primary School in Tees Valley is seeking an Inclusion Support Practitioner to join the Inclusion Team in Key Stage 2. The role focuses on supporting pupils with SEMH needs and delivering targeted interventions.

You will apply Thrive and trauma-informed approaches, promote emotional regulation, and collaborate with families and external professionals to support pupil outcomes. This permanent post is 32.5 hours per week, term time plus 5 days.

Qualifications

• Supports pupils with SEMH needs and access to the curriculum
• Delivers targeted interventions and supports emotional regulation
• Works with families and external professionals to support learners

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with SEMH needs in accessing the curriculum
• Understand and respond to children’s individual needs
• Promote communication, engagement, and independence under teacher guidance
• Regulate behaviour positively using agreed strategies
• Work closely with teaching staff, SENCO, and external professionals
