Job summary

Brixington Primary Academy invites an enthusiastic, flexible and highly motivated individual to work alongside the class teacher across all areas of the curriculum, delivering targeted interventions and supporting learners.

You will promote inclusion by developing social skills, language and emotional well-being, liaising with colleagues and other professionals, and you may work 1:1 or in small groups with SEND pupils, demonstrating initiative, integrity and compassion.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting pupils with SEND.
• Ability to deliver targeted interventions.
• Ability to work under guidance and liaise with professionals.
• Willingness to show initiative, integrity and compassion.

Responsibilities

• Deliver targeted interventions.
• Promote inclusion through development of social skills, language and emotional well-being.
• Work under the direction of the class teacher and liaise with other professionals both within and outside the school.
• Show a high degree of initiative and respond to situations with integrity and compassion.
• There will be some aspects of working with SEND pupils 1:1 or in small groups.
