Job summary

Hevingham Primary School is seeking a part-time Learning Support Assistant to support a KS2 child with SEMH and cognition needs. The role is fixed-term pupil-specific, term-time only, 27.5 hours per week, with a salary on Scale C (£13.70 per hour).

You should have NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, GCSE English and Maths, and experience with SEND, de-escalation, and working well in a team. Closing date 18 October 2026 and interview 20 October 2026; safeguarding checks apply.

Qualifications

• Minimum of NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification.
• GCSE in English and Maths.
• Desirable – evidence of post GCSE qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Support a KS2 child with SEMH and cognition needs.
• Work as part of a team in the classroom to help children learn.
• Be able to de-escalate and use appropriate techniques.
