Job summary

Academics is recruiting Key Stage 2 Higher Level Teaching Assistants for temporary, flexible supply work across primary schools in Rotherham. You will support Years 3 to 6 and may lead pre-planned lessons or deliver targeted interventions.

Salary is paid via PAYE (£100–£140 per day) and includes holiday pay. This role offers multiple start dates and ongoing opportunities across a range of Rotherham schools.

Qualifications

• HLTA qualification or suitable experience for the role.
• Experience supporting KS2 pupils.
• Confidence leading lessons and supporting classroom management.
• Good communication, organisation and teamwork skills.
• Enhanced DBS Certificate or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Support learning across Key Stage 2.
• Lead pre-planned lessons and activities where required.
• Deliver targeted literacy and numeracy interventions.
• Promote positive behaviour and active participation.
• Help pupils develop confidence and independent learning skills.
• Work closely with class teachers and other support staff.
