Academics is recruiting KS1 Higher Level Teaching Assistants for flexible temporary supply work across Retford and surrounding areas. The role involves supporting Years 1 and 2, delivering pre-planned lessons and providing targeted support while maintaining a positive classroom environment.

Ideal candidates will have HLTA experience or suitable qualifications, confident classroom leadership, and strong communication. DBS confirmation or willingness to obtain one is required.

Qualifikationen

• Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or HLTA.
• HLTA qualification or suitable experience for the role.
• Experience supporting KS1 pupils is desirable.
• Confidence leading lessons and managing a classroom.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Flexible, proactive and supportive approach.
• Enhanced DBS Certificate or willingness to obtain one.

Aufgaben

• Support teaching and learning across Key Stage 1.
• Deliver pre-planned lessons and classroom activities.
• Lead whole-class learning when required.
• Provide individual and small-group support.
• Support early reading, writing and numeracy development.
• Work closely with teachers and support staff.
