Job summary

Academics, an established Education Agency, is recruiting KS1 Higher Level Teaching Assistants for temporary, ongoing supply work across primary schools in Retford and the surrounding areas. This KS1 Higher Level Teaching Assistant opportunity is ideal for someone confident supporting younger pupils, leading classroom activities and delivering lessons when required.

You will help children in Years 1 and 2 develop their confidence, independence and core learning skills.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or HLTA.
• Confidence leading lessons and managing a classroom.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Flexible, proactive and supportive approach.

Responsibilities

• Support teaching and learning across Key Stage 1.
• Deliver pre-planned lessons and classroom activities.
• Lead whole-class learning when required.
• Provide individual and small-group support.
• Support early reading, writing and numeracy development.
