Job summary

The Graduate Network is seeking a Graduate Teaching Assistant in a KS2 classroom in Wolverhampton. You will support pupils with their learning, help with routines and assist the class teacher during lessons to build confidence.

This fixed-term role runs from September 2026 to July 2027 and is ideal for graduates aiming to gain strong primary school experience before pursuing teaching or education careers. A 2:2+ in a creative subject and an Enhanced DBS are required or can be obtained.

Qualifications

  • 2:2 degree or above in a creative subject.
  • Genuine interest in supporting pupils across KS2.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to explain learning clearly.
  • Patient, proactive and encouraging approach in the classroom.
  • Enhanced DBS – Must hold or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS certificate.

Responsibilities

  • Support KS2 pupils with their learning, confidence and classroom routines.
  • Work alongside the class teacher to provide guidance during lessons.
  • Help pupils stay organised and encourage positive engagement with tasks.
  • Support individuals and small groups who need extra help to understand key concepts.
