Job summary

The Graduate Network is recruiting a Primary Academic Mentor for a central Wolverhampton primary school from September 2026 to July 2027. The role involves 1:1 and small-group academic support for KS2 pupils, helping them stay focused and build confidence, with additional general classroom duties to support teachers.

We seek a creative graduate with patience, structure and encouraging communication. A 2:2 in a creative subject is required, and you must have or obtain an Enhanced DBS certificate.

Qualifications

• 2:2 degree or above in a creative subject.
• Genuine interest in supporting KS2 pupils academically.
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain ideas clearly.
• Patient, encouraging approach to helping pupils overcome learning barriers.
• Enhanced DBS – Must hold or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS certificate.

Responsibilities

• Deliver 1:1 and small-group academic support for KS2 pupils.
• Help pupils strengthen understanding, stay focused and take pride in progress.
• Assist with general classroom duties to keep lessons purposeful, organised and inclusive.
