Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with additional needs.
• KS2 experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide tailored 1:1 support for a KS2 pupil, aiding academic, social and emotional growth while promoting independence.
• Collaborate with the class teacher and staff to create a calm, structured, inclusive learning environment.
• Use a patient, flexible approach with emphasis on emotional regulation and staying engaged in learning.
• Support planning and delivery of accessible learning activities as directed by the class teacher.
• Ongoing training to develop skills in supporting children with additional needs.
• Experience supporting children with learning, communication, sensory and emotional needs, ideally KS2.
• Build positive, trusting relationships; communicate effectively with teachers, staff and parents.
• Uphold safeguarding, confidentiality and promote wellbeing and independence.
