Supply Desk, in partnership with a welcoming primary school in Uxbridge, invites applications for a Year 2 Teacher (Full-Time). This role suits an Early Career or experienced KS1 teacher eager to deliver engaging lessons and support pupils through a key transition toward Key Stage 2.

You will plan and deliver a broad KS1 curriculum, assess progress, adapt to pupil needs, and collaborate with teaching assistants and parents to create an inclusive, motivating learning environment.

Qualifications

  • QTS is desirable for the role.
  • Experience teaching within Key Stage 1 or Early Years.
  • Strong understanding of KS1 curriculum and assessment expectations.
  • Excellent classroom management and organisational skills.
  • Creative, engaging, and structured teaching style.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

  • Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons in line with KS1 curriculum.
  • Supporting pupils' development in reading, writing, maths, and phonics.
  • Preparing pupils for end of Key Stage 1 assessments (SATs).
  • Monitoring and assessing pupil progress using data to inform teaching.
  • Creating a positive, inclusive classroom environment.
  • Collaborating with teaching assistants and the wider school team.
  • Building strong relationships with parents, carers, and staff.
