Desian Education are proud to be working in partnership with a supportive two-form entry primary school in Widnes, seeking a highly experienced Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join their KS1 team. The role is across Year 2, supporting pupils in class and through targeted intervention sessions, with a focus on English and Maths alongside Read Write Inc.

Qualifications

• Qualified TA with Level 2 status.
• Experience supporting KS1 pupils.
• Experience delivering Read Write Inc. phonics.

Responsibilities

• Work across both Year 2 classes to provide targeted support.
• Lead English and Maths interventions for mixed and lower-ability pupils.
• Deliver targeted RWI phonics sessions.
• Support pupils to develop their reading, writing and mathematical skills.
• Identify gaps in learning and adapt support accordingly.
• Work closely with class teachers to plan and deliver effective interventions.
• Provide additional classroom support where required.
• Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
