Job summary

CER Education is actively seeking Primary Teaching Assistants to support pupils across Sefton, Liverpool. This role involves helping teachers manage classes, assisting with activities, and preparing the classroom for lessons. You will contribute to a safe, engaging learning environment and help students stay on task.

We provide guidance through experienced consultants, offer free interview and CV advice, and support you with CPD and workshops to boost your employability in Merseyside schools.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children.
• Resilience and a great work ethic.
• Feel comfortable receiving direction from the classroom teacher.
• Working with small groups and 1:1.
• Assist students during class and ensure they are on task.

Responsibilities

• Support teachers in managing class behaviour.
• Set up and run activities.
• Understand classroom roles and responsibilities.
• Get the classroom ready for lessons.
• Ensure safeguarding regulations are followed.
