Job summary

Qualiteach Education Group is seeking a dedicated KS1 Teaching Assistant for a primary school in Hammersmith & Fulham, starting ASAP. You will provide 1:1 and small-group support across KS1, focusing on pupils with EYFS and SEN needs, including ASD.

You will work closely with the class teacher and support team to help pupils access learning, develop independence and participate in class activities, with some personal care tasks involved where needed.

Qualifications

The Position - KS1 Teaching Assistant

A welcoming primary school in Hammersmith & Fulham is seeking a committed and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as possible. The successful KS1 Teaching Assistant will work across KS1, providing a combination of 1:1 and small-group support. The role may be predominantly focused on supporting one pupil at a time, helping them to access learning, develop their independence and engage positively within the classroom environment.The school is looking for someone with previous EYFS and SEN experience, particularly someone who has experience supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and additional learning or communication needs.You will work closely with the class teacher and wider support team to provide consistent, individualised support. Your responsibilities may include supporting pupils with classroom activities, communication, social development, emotional regulation and independence. There may also be some intimate/personal care involved as part of the role, so candidates should be comfortable supporting pupils with their personal care needs where required.
