Job summary

Teaching Personnel is working alongside a welcoming and supportive primary school in the Salisbury area to recruit a Year 1/2 Teacher for a job-share starting October 2026. The position is 2-3 days per week with flexibility on working days, paying £125-£145 per day (supply) or M1-M6 pay scale depending on responsibilities.

Pay: £125-£145 per day (supply) or M1-M6 Pay Scale (depending on responsibilities)

Are you an enthusiastic and dedicated Primary Teacher looking for a flexible teaching opportunity? Teaching Personnel is working alongside a welcoming and supportive primary school seeking a Year 1/2 Teacher to join their team from October 2026 as part of a job share.

The Role
  • Teach a mixed Year 1/2 class for 2-3 days per week.
  • Deliver engaging and inclusive lessons that inspire young learners.
  • Planning is not initially required, allowing you to focus on delivering high-quality teaching (although this may be subject to change).
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Previous experience teaching within KS1, ideally Year 1 and/or Year 2.
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • A positive, adaptable and nurturing approach to teaching.
  • A passion for helping every child achieve their potential.

Vetting Requirements
  • Hold (or be willing to obtain) an Enhanced DBS Certificate, ideally registered with the Update Service.
  • Provide the right to work in the UK.
  • Supply proof of qualifications, including QTS.
  • Provide two professional references covering your recent employment history.
  • Complete Teaching Personnel's registration, safeguarding checks and compliance process before starting work.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
