Job description

Full-Time KS1 Teacher – Year 1 Class – Primary School in Bournemouth!

GSL Education are excited to present a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated and enthusiastic KS1 Teacher to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Bournemouth. This full-time position is set to begin in September 2025, with a competitive annual salary ranging from £30,000 to £44,000, depending on experience.

The school is open to applications from both Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced educators who are passionate about nurturing young learners and fostering a love for learning in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities of a KS1 Teacher:

  • Deliver engaging and age-appropriate lessons to a Year 1 class.
  • Plan and implement creative and differentiated lesson plans in line with the KS1 curriculum.
  • Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and parents to support student development.
  • Participate in school events, staff meetings, and professional development opportunities.
  • Stay informed about curriculum updates and best practices in primary education.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • A genuine passion for teaching and inspiring young learners.
  • Experience teaching in KS1 (Year 1 experience is desirable but not essential).
  • Strong classroom management and lesson planning skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational abilities.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • An up-to-date CV (covering the last ten years with no unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
