Job summary

Axcis Education in North London is seeking a KS1 Teacher to join a SEND primary in N7. Classes are small (8–11 pupils) and backed by at least three Teaching Assistants, with access to specialist facilities including a sensory room and an on-site heated hydrotherapy pool.

The position is temporary, offering Pay to Scale plus SEN Allowance, and a supportive learning environment focused on active, engaging learning and pupil development.

Location: N7, North London
Salary: Pay to Scale + SEN Allowance
Contract: Full-time

Are you a passionate KS1 Teacher looking for an opportunity to make a real difference in a supportive and well-resourced SEND setting? We are working with a fantastic SEND Primary School in N7 that is looking for a KS1 Teacher to join their team. The school supports 124 pupils, with classes limited to just 8–11 children. Each classroom is led by a qualified teacher and supported by at least three Teaching Assistants, providing an excellent staff-to-pupil ratio and allowing every child to receive individualised support and attention. The school places a strong emphasis on making learning engaging, active and enjoyable. Lessons are typically around 20 minutes long, followed by movement breaks and opportunities to use the school's specialist facilities, including a sensory integration room and on-site heated hydrotherapy pool. Communication is at the heart of the curriculum, with pupils given regular opportunities to interact, engage and develop their confidence in a safe and nurturing environment.

The ideal candidate will:

• Be a qualified teacher with experience or a strong interest in KS1 and SEND
• Be patient, creative and enthusiastic about adapting learning to individual needs
• Have a strong understanding of creating an inclusive and engaging classroom
• Be confident working collaboratively with Teaching Assistants and other professionals
• Be passionate about supporting children's communication, independence and development
