Job summary

TimePlan Education is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support KS1 pupils in Amesbury. You will provide 1:1 and small-group support for children with SEN, adapting activities with teachers and ensuring alignment with IEPs.

The role emphasizes a calm, nurturing approach to manage emotional and behavioural needs and to foster an inclusive classroom where pupils feel safe and valued. You will report progress to the Class Teacher and SENDCo, collaborating with parents as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience with SEN in primary or early years.
• Strong communication, resilience and nurturing nature are essential.
• DBS Update Service or willingness to apply is required.
• Driving licence is desirable for travel to Amesbury schools.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group support for KS1 children with SEN.
• Adapt learning materials with the teacher to align with IEPs.
• Support emotional/behavioural needs with patience and positive reinforcement.
• Foster an inclusive, safe, and motivating learning environment.
• Track progress and liaise with Class Teacher, SENDCo, and parents.
