Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking an experienced KS1 SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Bacup, Lancashire, on a full-time, long-term basis.

The successful candidate will hold a Level 2 TA qualification or equivalent, have prior primary school experience, and be confident delivering 1:1 SEN support with a calm, patient, nurturing approach, working closely with the class teacher to support pupil development.

Qualifications

• Hold a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
• Experience working within a primary school.
• Experience supporting children with SEN.
• Confident providing 1:1 support.

Responsibilities

• Support a pupil in KS1 on a 1:1 basis.
• Build strong, positive relationships with the pupil.

KS1 SEN 1:1 TEACHING ASSISTANT – LONG-TERM ROLE

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Bacup, supporting a pupil in KS1 on a 1:1 basis.

The successful candidate must:

• Hold a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
• Have previous experience working within a primary school
• Have experience supporting children with SEN
• Be confident providing 1:1 support
• Be comfortable supporting children with challenging needs and behaviours
• Have a calm, patient and nurturing approach
• Be able to build a strong, positive relationship with the pupil
• Work effectively alongside the class teacher and wider school team
• Be reliable, enthusiastic and committed to supporting the child's development

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced TA who is passionate about SEN support and looking for a full-time, long-term position within a primary school.
