Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking an experienced KS1 SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant for a long-term, full-time position in Bacup. You will support a pupil in KS1 on a 1:1 basis and work closely with the class teacher and school staff.

The ideal candidate holds Level 2 TA qualification (or equivalent) and has prior primary school and SEN experience. The role requires reliability, patience and a nurturing approach to help the pupil develop.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting a pupil in KS1 on a 1:1 basis.
• Experience with SEN and challenging behaviours.
• Calm, patient and nurturing approach.
• Ability to build positive relationships with the pupil and school team.

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support to the pupil in KS1.
• Collaborate with the class teacher and wider school staff.
• Support pupil development and learning objectives.
• Maintain reliable and enthusiastic engagement throughout the day.
