Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking an experienced KS1 SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant for a long-term, full-time position in Bacup. You will support a pupil in KS1 on a 1:1 basis and work closely with the class teacher and school staff.

The ideal candidate holds Level 2 TA qualification (or equivalent) and has prior primary school and SEN experience. The role requires reliability, patience and a nurturing approach to help the pupil develop.

KS1 SEN 1:1 TEACHING ASSISTANT – LONG-TERM ROLE

Location: Bacup
Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm
Lunch: 30-minute unpaid lunch
Contract: Full-time, long-term

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Bacup, supporting a pupil in KS1 on a 1:1 basis.

• Hold a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
• Have previous experience working within a primary school
• Have experience supporting children with SEN
• Be confident providing 1:1 support
• Be comfortable supporting children with challenging needs and behaviours
• Have a calm, patient and nurturing approach
• Be able to build a strong, positive relationship with the pupil
• Work effectively alongside the class teacher and wider school team
• Be reliable, enthusiastic and committed to supporting the child's development

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced TA who is passionate about SEN support and looking for a full-time, long-term position within a primary school.
