Location: Lymington
Salary: Paid to teacher scale (MPS/UPS)
Start Date: ASAP

GSL Education are working with a school based in Lymington who are seeking a KS1 Teacher to join their team on a long term contract.

This is a one form entry school with 80 children on site across Years 1 to 6. The school is based in Lymington and has outstanding grounds.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver Pre-Planned Lessons: Confidently carry out lesson plans left by permanent staff, adapting as needed to meet student needs.
  • Maintain Classroom Management: Foster a positive, structured classroom environment, using effective behaviour management strategies to keep students engaged and on track.
  • Assess and Support Students: Provide encouragement, monitor progress as required, and assist students in understanding lesson content.
  • Work Across Different Schools: Embrace the opportunity to work in a variety of schools in Poole, gaining experience across year groups and subjects.
What We’re Looking For
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/PGCE): A recognised teaching qualification is required.
  • Flexibility & Adaptability: A positive, flexible approach is essential for adapting to different school environments and year groups.
  • Classroom Management Skills: Confidence in managing classrooms and promoting a respectful learning atmosphere.
  • Driving Licence (Beneficial): Having a driving licence is advantageous for travel between schools in the Poole area.
