Job summary

The Graduate Network is seeking a Primary Graduate Teaching Assistant to support KS1 pupils in a Ward of Yardley primary school from September 2026 to July 2027. The role focuses on 1:1 and small group work to boost confidence in phonics, reading, writing and numeracy.

You will work closely with the class teacher, reinforcing learning, preparing simple resources, and helping pupils stay engaged and progress throughout the school year.

Qualifications

  • Degree – A 2:2 or above in a creative subject.
  • Clear verbal and written communication.
  • Enhanced DBS – must hold or be willing to obtain.
  • Genuine interest in education and pupil progress.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support across KS1.
  • Reinforce class learning in phonics, early reading, writing, and numbers.
  • Prepare simple classroom resources and support the teacher.
  • Help pupils stay engaged and make progress.
