Job summary

The Graduate Network is recruiting a Year 4 Graduate Teaching Assistant for a high‑performing primary school in Yardley. You will support Year 4 pupils with 1:1 and small‑group activities, helping them stay engaged and progress in English, Maths and the wider curriculum.

This role runs from September 2026 to July 2027. The school values high standards and practical intervention work, offering a supportive environment to gain vital classroom experience before teacher training.

Qualifications

• Degree–2:2 or above in a creative subject.
• Clear and confident verbal and written communication.
• Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain).
• Genuine interest in supporting pupil progress and wellbeing.
• Desire to train as a teacher and long-term career in education.

Responsibilities

• Provide targeted 1:1 and small group support in Year 4.
• Reinforce learning in English, Maths, and wider curriculum.
• Prepare simple resources and support class routines.
• Work closely with the class teacher to build pupil confidence.
