Job summary

The Graduate Network is seeking a Graduate Teaching Assistant for a superb primary school based in Wolverhampton. This full-time role runs from September 2026 to July 2027, offering 1:1, small-group, and general classroom support across the primary phase.

You will work with experienced staff to help pupils stay engaged, reinforce core topics, and prepare basic resources, supporting day-to-day progress and a pathway toward teacher training.

Qualifications

• Degree – a 2:2 or above in a creative subject.
• Clear, confident verbal and written communication.
• Enhanced DBS certificate or willingness to obtain.
• Desire to work in education/with children.
• Career goals – train as a teacher and build a long-term career in education.

Responsibilities

• Work across the school on a full-time basis, providing a mix of 1:1 support, small-group intervention, and general classroom assistance.
• Help pupils stay engaged and reinforce learning in core subjects.
• Prepare simple resources and work with teaching staff to support day-to-day progress.
