Job summary

Vision for Education Ltd. is recruiting a full-time 1:1 Teaching Assistant to work with a KS1 pupil with additional needs in the TS14 Guisborough area. The role runs Monday to Friday, starting October 2026, with salary dependent on experience and qualifications.

The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher and school team to provide individualised support, helping the pupil access learning and build confidence.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification in Teaching and Supporting Learning is required.
• Experience supporting children with additional needs in a primary setting is desirable.
• Full-time role, Monday to Friday, starting October 2026.

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a KS1 pupil with additional needs.
• Support the pupil's learning objectives and targets in class.
• Help the pupil stay focused and engaged during lessons.
• Support communication, social development, confidence and independence.
• Offer reassurance and encouragement throughout the school day.
• Assist with behaviour management and developing strategies for challenges.
• Adapt activities and resources to support access to learning.
• Collaborate with the class teacher and school team to ensure consistent support.
• Support the pupil during classroom activities and transitions.
