Job summary

Stonegate Group is recruiting for a Kitchen Team Leader to support and develop a high-performing kitchen brigade in one of our pubs. You will work closely with the Kitchen Manager to ensure consistent quality, compliance with food safety standards, and smooth day-to-day kitchen operations.

The role requires leadership, hands-on cooking ability, and a proactive approach to mentoring teammates while maintaining high hygiene and cost controls.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a kitchen team in a busy pub or restaurant.
• Solid knowledge of food safety, COSHH, and H&S regulations.
• Willingness to develop personally while driving team performance.

Responsibilities

• Assist in food preparation and collaborate with the Kitchen Manager.
• Produce high-quality dishes consistently to specification for guests.
• Oversee and supervise the kitchen team in the Kitchen Manager's absence.
• Assist with stock management, ordering and supplies.
• Ensure the kitchen is clean, hygienic and well organised at all times.
• Offer ideas to improve kitchen performance and efficiency.
