Job summary

Queens Head is seeking a Kitchen Team Leader to join our friendly pub team. You will support and coach the kitchen brigade, ensuring we maintain top quality dishes and safe, compliant operations.

You will lead in the Kitchen Manager’s absence, help manage stock and contribute creative ideas to raise performance and guest satisfaction in a vibrant pub setting.

Qualifications

• Assist in leading and coaching a kitchen team to deliver great service.
• Maintain high standards of food knowledge and skill across the brigade.
• Keep up-to-date COSHH, Food Safety, H&S and legal requirements in the kitchen.
• Show willingness to develop personally while driving team progress.

Responsibilities

• Assist in food preparation and collaborate with the Kitchen Manager.
• Produce high-quality dishes consistently to specification for our guests.
• Oversee and supervise the kitchen team in the absence of the Kitchen Manager.
• Assist with stock management, ordering and management of supplies.
• Ensure the kitchen is in an excellent, clean and hygienic condition at all times.
• Offer suggestions and creative ideas that can improve the kitchen’s performance.
• Lead the team to achieve company targets.

• The ability to assist in supporting, coaching, and mentoring your team
• A high standard of food knowledge and skill
• An up-to-date COSHH, Food Safety, H&S, legal knowledge
• A willingness to develop on a personal level whilst also helping propel the brigade forward at Queens Head
