Job summary

Stonegate Group operates Slug & Lettuce and other venues in the UK and is seeking a Kitchen Team Leader to drive kitchen performance. You will mentor and coach the team, uphold food safety standards, and maintain COSHH/H&S compliance while supporting the Kitchen Manager on day-to-day operations.

Ideal candidates will bring a strong food knowledge base and a willingness to develop professionally, leading the brigade to deliver high-quality dishes and maintain exceptional cleanliness and hygiene

Qualifications

• Ability to assist in supporting, coaching, and mentoring your team.
• High standard of food knowledge and skill.
• Up-to-date COSHH, Food Safety, H&S, and legal knowledge.
• Willingness to develop personally whilst helping propel the brigade forward at Slug And Lettuce

Responsibilities

• Assist in food preparation and collaborate with the Kitchen Manager.
• Produce high-quality dishes consistently to specification for our guests.
• Oversee and supervise the kitchen team in the absence of the Kitchen Manager.
• Assist with stock management, ordering and management of supplies.
• Ensure the kitchen is in an excellent, clean and hygienic condition at all times.
• Lead the team to achieve company targets.
