Job summary

Slug And Lettuce in Richmond is seeking a Kitchen Team Leader to drive kitchen performance, coach staff, and ensure food is prepared to specification. You will lead by example while nurturing a culture of excellence.

Assist with stock, hygiene, and day-to-day operations, stepping in for the Kitchen Manager as needed. Stonegate Group offers flexible working and extensive staff benefits within a vibrant, inclusive venue on the River Thames.

Qualifications

• Must be able to coach, mentor and develop the kitchen team.
• Strong knowledge of food preparation and service standards.
• Up-to-date COSHH, food safety and health & safety knowledge required.
• Willingness to grow personally and drive the brigade forward at Slug And Lettuce.

Responsibilities

• Assist in food preparation and work with the Kitchen Manager.
• Produce high-quality dishes consistently to specification.
• Oversee the kitchen team in the Kitchen Manager's absence.
• Assist with stock management, ordering and supplies.
• Ensure the kitchen remains clean and hygienic at all times.
• Offer ideas to improve kitchen performance.
• Lead the team to achieve company targets.
