Job summary

Slug And Lettuce Sheffield, part of Stonegate Pub Company, is seeking a Kitchen Manager or Kitchen Team Leader to lead the kitchen and shape operations.

You will coach and develop the kitchen team, ensure top-tier food knowledge, maintain hygiene and safety, and drive cost control and labour targets.

This role offers progression within a vibrant hospitality group with supportive development and staff wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to coach and mentor a kitchen team.
• Strong knowledge of food preparation and kitchen standards.
• Up-to-date COSHH, Food Safety and H&S knowledge.
• Understanding of applicable legal requirements.

Responsibilities

• Hire and onboard new team members inclusively.
• Lead, guide and develop your kitchen team with ongoing training.
• Maintain high kitchen hygiene and food safety standards.
• Manage kitchen schedules to meet labour targets.
• Conduct regular stock checks for cost control and goals.
• Drive sales growth by fostering kitchen-front of house collaboration.
