Hastings Hotels is seeking a reliable Kitchen Steward to join our kitchen team in Northern Ireland. Typical shifts are 7am–3pm and 3pm–11pm with occasional weekend hours; pay ranges from £9.00–£12.75 per hour depending on age.

You will help keep kitchen areas clean and organized under the guidance of our Head Chef, Kevin Osborne. We offer staff meals, employee discounts and opportunities for career progression.

Formación

• Willingness to learn with on-the-job training provided.
• Experience in hospitality is beneficial but not required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Responsabilidades

• Wash dishes, pots and pans; load/unload dishwasher and empty bins.
• Maintain cleanliness of dishwashing and kitchen areas, walls, fridges and floors.
• Ensure proper use of equipment and report issues promptly.
• Secure stock areas and report any breaches.
• Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a respectful team environment.

About the role

To ensure that all Kitchen areas and equipment are cleaned and presented to the Hastings Standard of Cleanliness and Hygiene.

• To keep all kitchen areas clean. Typical tasks include washing dishes, pots, pans, loading and unloading the dish washer, emptying, and cleaning bins.

• Maintaining the cleanliness of dishwashing areas including walls, fridges, and mopping floors.

• To ensure all equipment and materials are used in the correct manner and any problems are reported immediately.

• To always maintain the security of stock areas at all times, immediately reporting any breaches and dealing.

• To work effectively with colleagues to ensure a harmonious working environment where all employees are treated with respect and dignity.

• To comply with all health, safety and hygiene policies and procedures.

• Any other duties as required by management.

About You

We would love you to have some similar previous experience, but this is not essential as our Kitchen Team will provide you with full training.
