Hastings Hotels’ Cultra Inn is seeking a Kitchen Steward to join our luxury kitchen team. You will clean and maintain all kitchen areas and equipment under the guidance of the Head Chef, supporting a high standard of cleanliness across the kitchen operations.

Qualifikationen

• Right to Work in the United Kingdom.
• Good attention to detail.
• Ability to work well under pressure and be a team player.
• Previous experience in a commercial kitchen (desirable).
• Working towards Level 2 in Professional Cookery (desirable).

Aufgaben

• Wash dishes, pots and pans; load/unload the dishwasher.
• Maintain cleanliness of dishwashing areas, walls, fridges and floors.
• Ensure equipment and materials are used correctly; report problems.
• Keep stock areas secure and report breaches.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain a respectful, safe workplace.
• Follow all health, safety and hygiene policies and procedures.
• Carry out any other duties as required by management.

Hours vary, but typical shifts include 7am to 3pm and 3pm to 11pm, and availability on weekends is essential.

The rate of pay for this casual position is £9.55 to £12.75 per hour depending on your age.

About the role

To ensure that all Kitchen areas and equipment are cleaned and presented to the Hastings Standard of Cleanliness and Hygiene.

• To keep all kitchen areas clean. Typical tasks include washing dishes, pots, pans, loading and unloading the dish washer, emptying, and cleaning bins.

• Maintaining the cleanliness of dishwashing areas including walls, fridges, and mopping floors.

• To ensure all equipment and materials are used in the correct manner and any problems are reported immediately.

• To maintain the security of stock areas at all times, immediately reporting any breaches.

• To work effectively with colleagues to ensure a harmonious working environment where all employees are treated with respect and dignity.

• To comply with all health, safety and hygiene policies and procedures.

• Any other duties as required by management.
