Job summary

Hastings Hotels is seeking a reliable Kitchen Assistant for The Everglades Hotel in Northern Ireland. You will keep kitchen areas clean, wash dishes, and support the team with general duties. Training is provided, with varied shifts from early to late, including weekends.

Roles require Right to Work in the UK and good English. Desirable: current food hygiene certificate and prior experience. Benefits include staff meals, discounts and career progression opportunities.

Responsibilities

• To ensure that all Kitchen areas and equipment are cleaned to Hastings Standard of Cleanliness and Hygiene.
• Keep all kitchen areas clean (washing dishes, pots, pans, loading/unloading the dishwasher, emptying and cleaning bins).
• Maintain cleanliness of dishwashing areas including walls, fridges and floors.
• Ensure equipment and materials are used correctly and report issues.
• Maintain stock area security and report breaches immediately.
• Work with colleagues to maintain a respectful, harmonious environment and follow health and safety policies.

The rate of pay ranges from £9.55- £12.75ph depending on age.

About The Role

To ensure that all Kitchen areas and equipment are cleaned and presented to the Hastings Standard of Cleanliness and Hygiene.

• To keep all kitchen areas clean. Typical tasks include washing dishes, pots, pans, loading and unloading the dish washer, emptying, and cleaning bins.
• Maintaining the cleanliness of dishwashing areas including walls, fridges, and mopping floors.
• To ensure all equipment and materials are used in the correct manner and any problems are reported immediately.
• To always maintain the security of stock areas at all times, immediately reporting any breaches and dealing.
• To work effectively with colleagues to ensure a harmonious working environment where all employees are treated with respect and dignity.
• To comply with all health, safety and hygiene policies and procedures.
• Any other duties as required by management.

About You

We would love you to have some similar previous experience, but this is not essential as our Kitchen Team will provide you with full training.

Required Criteria

• Good Command of English Language

Salary

£9.55 - £12.75 per hour
