Job summary

William Strike Ltd invites applications for a Part Time Kitchen Porter at our restaurant inside StrikesGarden Centre. The role offers 16 hours per week, mainly on weekends with some midweek shifts, and pay between £10.40 and £12.75 per hour depending on age.

You will ensure a steady supply of clean crockery and equipment, operate the pot wash safely, and keep the kitchen area tidy and hygienic to supporting front and back of house operations.

Responsibilities

• Process all cutlery and crockery through the dishwasher.

• Clean equipment and working areas to high food hygiene standards.
• Close down kitchen and prepare for next day.

Job description

We are looking for a Part Time ##employmenttype## Kitchen Porter to join the team in our Restaurant in StrikesGarden Centre.

Our competitive rates of pay range from £10.40 to £12.75 per hour dependent on age.

The hours for this role are 16 hours per week over 2 days mostly weekends but will be midweek days as and when required so flexibility is a must.

The Role

As a Kitchen Porter, you will provide a critical service to both our front and back of house operation ensuring a constant supply of clean crockery, cutlery and equipment. You will be trained in the safe operation of the pot wash equipment and take responsibility for a productive and clean work area.

What you will be doing as a Kitchen Porter?

• Using equipment, process all cutlery and crockery through the dishwasher.
• Make sure waste is disposed of using appropriate recycling bins
• Take care to avoid breakages
• Ensure all crockery and dishes are cleaned properly before being used
• Carry out cleaning of equipment and working areas to the highest food hygiene standards
• Close down kitchen each day including preparation for the following day.
