Thomas Franks is inviting applications for a Kitchen Porter at our London site. The role supports the kitchen team in maintaining spotless hygiene, assisting with prep tasks, and ensuring smooth service in a busy school and nursery environment.

The ideal candidate will have basic English communication, a customer-focused mindset, and willingness to contribute to high standards of cleanliness and safety. 35 hours per week, 13.54 GBP per hour, Monday to Friday, term-time emphasis.

Competenze

• Kitchen Porter experience is preferred, but not essential.
• Organisation skills are required.
• Good understanding and use of verbal English is expected.
• Good standard of written English and reading skills are required.
• Experience in customer or food preparation environments is preferred.

Mansioni

• Maintain hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen to high standards.
• Assist chefs with basic food preparation.
• Operate the industrial dishwasher and pot wash duties as needed.
• Clean and maintain kitchen equipment and surfaces.
• Assist with general kitchen duties and team collaboration.

Contract: Full Time , Permanent
Salary: £13.54 per hour
Hours: 35h per week

An outstanding prep school and nursery located in South East London for students 3 years old to 11. Catering for just under 500 students and teachers daily. We offer a core feeding of lunch with some high end hospitality throughout the year. This location operates Monday to Friday and operates mainly term time. Additionally this location benefits from great transport links.

We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Kitchen Porter to join our established & friendly team at our prestigious location in London.

You’ll be playing a big part in keeping the kitchen hygienic, safe, and up to our very high standards of cleanliness.

• Experience of pot wash duties would be an advantage
• Great team player
• Be able to help the Chefs with some food prep
• Ensure high standards of cleanliness at all times
• Clean and maintain all kitchen equipment
• Clean allocated pieces of heavy catering equipment using instructions and cleaning materials including air filter and extraction systems.
• Operate industrial dishwasher

We are looking for:

• Kitchen Porter experience is preferred, but not essential.
• Organisation Skills.
• Ability to demonstrate reasonable / good understanding and use of verbal English.
• Ability to demonstrate reasonable / good standard of written English and reading skills.
• Similar experience of customer and / or food preparation environment is preferred
