Thomas Franks Ltd is seeking a Kitchen Porter for our London location. The role involves keeping the kitchen hygienic, safe, and up to high standards of cleanliness, with opportunities to help chefs with food preparation.

The position is term-time only (35 weeks/year), Monday to Friday, at our prestigious site in London. Benefits include free meals on duty, cycle to work, and staff discounts.

A co-educational private day school in Lewisham, London. Catering for 900 students and teachers daily. We offer a core feeding of breakfast, lunch and sixth form café across 3 locations. There is a considerable amount of hospitality at this location. This is a term-time only location, working 35 weeks a year and operating Monday to Friday.

We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Kitchen Porter to join our established & friendly team at our prestigious location in London.

You'll be playing a big part in keeping the kitchen hygienic, safe, and up to our very high standards of cleanliness.

• Experience of pot wash duties would be an advantage
• Great team player
• Be able to help the Chefs with some food prep
• Ensure high standards of cleanliness at all times
• Clean and maintain all kitchen equipment
• Clean allocated pieces of heavy catering equipment using instructions and cleaning materials including air filter and extraction systems.
• Operate industrial dishwasher

We are looking for:

• Kitchen Porter experience is preferred, but not essential.
• Organisation Skills.
• Ability to demonstrate reasonable / good understanding and use of verbal English.
• Ability to demonstrate reasonable / good standard of written English and reading skills.
• Similar experience of customer and / or food preparation environment is preferred
