Job summary

Soho House Group in West London is seeking a Kitchen Porter to support a busy kitchen. You will clean and maintain kitchenware, assist with waste management, and help keep back-of-house areas orderly. You will work in a fast-paced, high-profile venue, with weekly pay and access to benefits and team discounts.

Reliable, detail-focused candidates who can follow safety procedures will fit well. Training will cover hygiene, safety, and operation of dishwashing equipment.

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning, housekeeping, or janitorial experience preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, and equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Reliability, discretion, and a professional attitude.
• Flexibility to work all shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions

Responsibilities

• Wash, rinse, and sanitise all kitchen items including pots, pans, dishes, utensils, and glassware.
• Operate commercial dishwashing and cleaning equipment safely.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen workspaces and storage areas.
• Dispose of kitchen waste appropriately and keep areas tidy throughout the shift.
• Adhere to Food Safety and Health & Safety policies (including HACCP).
• Follow detailed cleaning schedules and SOPs.
• Support the kitchen team by replenishing stock and assisting during peak times.
• Handle kitchen equipment with care to minimise breakages and maintain inventory.
• Replenish supplies such as toiletries, towels, and cleaning materials.
• Safely handle and store cleaning chemicals and equipment.
