Job summary

The Chancery Rosewood in London is seeking a Kitchen Porter to support the heart of the kitchen by maintaining cleanliness, hygiene and organisation. You will help keep equipment, surfaces and spaces spotless, enabling the culinary team to perform at their best.

You will follow food safety standards and COSHH guidelines, work with the kitchen team across shifts, and bring reliability, energy and pride to every service as part of a collaborative Heart of House operation.

Qualifications

• You’re comfortable with the physical demands of a busy kitchen environment and can maintain energy and attention to detail.
• You understand the importance of food safety, hygiene and safe working practices.

• You bring a professional, flexible approach and are keen to develop knowledge of stewarding standards.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness across assigned kitchen areas, equipment and heart-of-house spaces.
• Wash, clean and store operating equipment, including pots, pans, chinaware, glassware and flatware.
• Support distribution and collection of equipment during service to keep kitchen operation flowing smoothly.
• Follow HACCP requirements, food safety standards and hotel hygiene procedures.
• Handle cleaning chemicals safely and in accordance with hotel procedures and COSHH guidelines.
• Work collaboratively with stewarding and culinary colleagues, adapting to changing priorities and bringing energy and pride to every shift.
