Job summary

Grantley Hall is seeking a diligent kitchen porter to join our luxury team in North Yorkshire. You will perform basic cleaning, assist with food preparation, and help maintain HACCP standards across the main catering areas.

We offer a competitive salary of £25,040 per annum plus a monthly tronc typically £3,400, plus extensive employee benefits and career development opportunities at this five-star property.

Responsibilities

• Carry out basic cleaning tasks as fast as possible.
• Collecting and washing up pots and pans.
• Cleaning crockery & cutlery and ensuring food preparation sites are clean and ready.
• Ensuring the storeroom remains organized.
• Making sure work surfaces, floors and walls are always clean and sanitized.
• Cleaning dishes manually and by using the dishwasher.
• Supporting in basic food preparation.
• Maintain HACCP-compliant kitchen areas.
• Maintain hygiene in main catering areas to meet health and safety/food safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Carrying out basic cleaning tasks as fast as possible
• Collecting and washing up pots and pans
• Cleaning crockery & cutlery and ensuring food preparation sites are clean and ready
• Ensuring the storeroom remains organized
• Making sure work surfaces, floors and walls are always clean and sanitized
• Cleaning dishes manually and by using the dishwasher
• Supporting in basic food preparation
• Washing pots, pans and any other kitchen equipment’s
• Hold the kitchen work areas in accordance with HACCP regulations
• Responsible for maintaining the hygiene of the main catering areas to enable the delivery of high standard catering services in adherence with all health & safety/food safety regulations and best practice
